The Bedford County Detention Center is a small adult detention facility located in Bedford, Va. This facility is used to house male and female adult inmates being incarcerated in the area of Bedford County. Inmates at the Bedford County Detention Center are allowed to have visitors during their incarceration, but all visitors to the facility are required to abide by a strict set of rules and guidelines while they are visiting. All visitors must have a valid picture I.D. that has been issued by a state or government organization. Inmates are allowed to have one visit per week that will be no longer than 15 minutes in length. They can have up to 3 adult visitors and 2 children per visit. If an inmate has more than 2 children, the visitation shift leader can make exceptions to this rule at their own discretion.
