The Augusta Correctional Center is a state run detention facility located on 841 acres in the city of Craigsville, Virginia. This location was first opened in 1986 and has a current daily population of 1,097 inmates. It is operated by the Virginia Department of Corrections under the supervision of warden John A Woodson.
