About Kent County Jail and Correctional Facility
The jail was originally built in the 1950s and has since then undergone many renovations to update the structure and increase the jails size. The jail typically houses 1,100 inmates with a capacity for 1,478.
Inmates are allowed one 45 minute visit per week at the hours of Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. till 10:00 a.m.; 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m.; and 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. Trusty inmates are allowed a more generous visitation policy and the jail even allows inmates whom are married and incarcerated at the same time to visit each other. Call the jail between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM to schedule a visit.

Inmate Release Programs
